Dependent on your level of paranoia, some may say “Justice has been Served” or further down the scale…the 2 time defending Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning were simply not about to roll over.
Hey all my fans, it’s been a while. I have never missed a Stanley Cup presentation – that’s why I tuned in (age alert) tonight. As suspected the Colorado house was rockin’. Here was their chance to return to those glory teams on home soil.
BTW, this will NOT be a detailed report in any shape or fashion.
In fact my summary comprises of this: a gritty, veteran team, not ready to cave, under any circumstances, proved their worth. Ondrj Palat with the winning says it all.
HOPPER NOTES: I am hearing a lot of flack about the HNIC presentation…IMO, they have got to change those intermissions – here is my overlying thought: “I know Kelly, (for FUCK sakes) I just saw that !”. This is Canada, we are not pandering to a “less educated” American public audience. Let’s hear (and see) more of the background stories, the root stories. Trades and rumours are great also. How about a “Shit Disturber” segment ? Bring in Kypreos. Showing my age maybe but this should be the show piece product for all of hockey, not a “loop” replay show…SO sick of being overwhelmed (paid for or not) by all this betting category shit….they may be climbing up the industry “Top 10 Chart” for dominance of advertising staples (auto, beverage, gov’t, retail etc), but must they take over the entire space ?…be very thankful for the ones that love you !
